We regularly represent private companies in M&A transactions. Our experience includes both buy-side and sell-side transactions with deal values up to $100 million. Industries we work with include consumer internet, enterprise software, digital advertising and marketing, specialty food and agriculture, food & beverage, consumer packaged goods, hospitality, health and fitness, medical device, life sciences, and specialized distribution and logistics businesses.
We work with a great variety of boutique investment banks and M&A advisory groups based here in San Francisco and around the U.S. We regularly collaborate with tax professionals, due diligence consultants, employment and ERISA specialists, and other transaction consultants when working on M&A engagements. Our transactions have included cross-border deals, with buyers and investors from many different jurisdictions. We meet with business owners and principals long before transactions to consider exit transaction opportunities and to help clients consider legal issues that need to be addressed in order to maximize deal value. We make referrals to specialized business consultants, accountants, and other finance professionals to help companies correct chronic issues that can negatively impact exit value. We also work closely with clients to help them anticipate problems that can arise in the deal process.
